I have finished my classes for the week and overall I love them. Today was my long but extremely fun day. I had cooking at 9 am where I made my first real Italian meal! I made sauce and angel hair pasta. We made the past ourselves from eggs and flour and rolled them ourselves. I haven’t seen anyone do that since Grandma Hart did when I was younger so I was very proud of myself! Not to mention it was delicious. After cooking I had my wine class where I compared a red vintage 2006 wine to the same 2005 wine, I hope to be a pro at cooking and wine tasting by the end of the semester. I am progressing in my Italian and just need t practice more now on the simple every day phrases. We finally got internet yesterday so that will make life a lot easier for the days to come. This weekend we are going to Rome with Study Abroad Italy so I am looking forward to seeing the city. We found a bar called the Lion’s Fountain the other night that had American University shirts covering the ceiling. They even had shots such as an “Indiana University Shot” No Colorado State one though... I am getting used to all of the walking and the life style here more and more each day.
That sounds like such a fun day and weekend to come. Where do you stay when in Rome? That wine and food class doesn't sound like it will be any fun at all :) So good to see you and talk to you. Have fun. Love you
ReplyDeleteAre you going to bring some of that pasta back for me!? Haha sounds like things are going great and that your classes are awesome! Your living a blessed life right now - even though I know you already know that. Jakey Z (who says "hey girl heyyy!") and I are enjoying/jealously looking at your pictures. Hopefully get to see them in person some day!
